Dear Parents,
Just so you are aware the students will have the opportunity in the next 2 weeks to sell Easter Lilies (6") and Hydrangea plants (4 1/2") to help fundraise for our upcoming field trips. The order forms will be coming home tomorrow. The plants will cost $10.00 each, of which $5.00 will go towards the selling student's end of the year field trips. We are looking into a day trip to Fort Malden National Historic Site at the end of April / early March and a year end day trip to Pelee Island in June. The estimated cost of the 2 trips combined is $80.00, not including the cost of the bus to and from Fort Malden. The SAC Committee has generously raised $10.00/ student, and we will have the amount / student raised from selling pizza very soon. It is estimated that the remaining cost of the 2 trips combined would be about $70.00. In hopes to make these two experiences possible for all students, we are offering this fundraiser to assist in the financial needs. Please understand that participating in this fundraiser is completely voluntary, but we are encouraging the students to participate to help take responsibility for assisting their families with the financial portion. As well, please note that all funds raised must be used for this Grade 7 year's activities and cannot be carried over into Grade 8.
